About AIC Works™

AIC WORKS is an employment training and retention program designed specifically for individuals
with physical and or developmental delays. We desire is to equip individuals with the skills and
confidence to obtain gainful employment within the community in which they reside. 

AIC WORKS will teach and train individuals to Independently complete the following:

• Search out employment opportunities that interest them
• Learn skill sets needed to complete the job applied for
• Apply for the position via filling out the job application online
• Attend job interviews
• Learn how to use public transportation or other transportation services available to them.
Some of these are at no cost or minimal cost thru their insurance.
• The importance of maintaining your job and working to your fullest capability
• How to effectively handle conflict with a co-worker or boss

AIC Works™ Eligibility & Qualification Requirements

 Eligibility Requirements for AIC Works™  
 

You may qualify for the AIC Works Training Program if you meet the following requirements:

  • Currently receiving SSI or SSDI cash benefits through the Social Security Administration (SSA)
  • Between 18 and 55 years of age
  • No disqualifying criminal background
  • Not currently enrolled in Vocational Rehabilitation services
  • Not currently receiving services through the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), including:
    • ATC
    • DTA
    • GSE
    • HAH
    • RSP
    • TRA
    • TRE
  • Committed to successfully completing the program and participating in community-based work activities
  • Able to maintain regular attendance throughout the 10-week program
    • Participants who miss three or more classes may be removed from the program and forfeit their deposit and tuition fees
  • Have reliable transportation to and from classes
  • Able to raise or pay the $1,500 AIC Works­™ Training class fee
