Glorious Treasures Thrift Store operates as a vital training hub for the Advanced Independence Charity, located in Sun City, Arizona. Our nonprofit organization focuses on empowering adults with disabilities by providing them with essential job training and employment opportunities in a supportive retail environment.
The Purpose :
Our thrift store is specifically designed to offer hands-on job experience to individuals with special needs. Employees participate in various retail operations, including:
Customer Service: Assisting shoppers, answering questions, and providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Inventory Management: Learning how to sort, organize, and manage donated items effectively.
Cash Register Operations: Gaining experience in handling transactions and managing sales.
This practical training not only equips employees with valuable skills but also fosters independence and confidence, preparing them for potential future employment opportunities.

Our Donation Hours are Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 3:00PM
Accepted Items
Accessories – Belts, Hats, Jewelry, Purses, Scarves, Shoes and Wallets.
Clothing in new to like new condition
Clothing that’s freshly laundered – Clothing should look and smell clean.
Quality- Our shoppers prefer high-end casual, designer and other boutiques brands.
We also take – Dishes, Furniture, Rugs and more…
Not Accepted
Dirty Clothing: Items must look and smell fresh. Any items smelling of cigarette smoke will be rejected.
Used swimwear and undergarments.
Large Items– Sometimes we may lack space.
Offensive items – We will not accept items with language or content that is not suitable for families.
Worn out items- Clothing with tears, holes, stains, fuzz, or fading.
We are not a CONSIGNMENT Store:
Glorious Treasures Thrift Store is not a consignment shop. Unlike consignment stores, where individuals bring in items to be sold on their behalf and receive a portion of the sale.
Glorious Treasures operates as a traditional thrift store: all items are donated directly to the store, and 100% of the proceeds go toward supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the local community. This means when you donate or shop with us, you’re making a direct impact no consignor payouts, just community support and empowerment.
