Advanced Independence Charity (“AIC,” “we” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through aicharity.org (the “Site”), how we use it and the choices you have. It applies only to this Site.
Information you give us
When you use our contact or volunteer forms, we collect the details you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, availability, interests and the content of your message. We also receive any information you include when you email or call us.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the Site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the general location (city or region), the type of device and browser, and which links are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies to recognize a returning browser. It does not store IP addresses and does not tell us who you are. We use this information only to improve the Site and our outreach, and we have turned off Google’s optional data-sharing settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Like most websites, our hosting provider, Webflow, automatically processes basic technical data, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
Our pages display typefaces served by Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is shared with Google, which processes it under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Donations
Online gifts are processed by Givebutter and PayPal. Information you enter on those platforms is collected and handled by them under their own privacy policies. They share donor details with us, such as your name, email address and gift amount, so that we can thank you and provide receipts. AIC never sees or stores your full card or bank account numbers.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us operate, such as our website host, email provider and analytics provider (Google), and only as needed to perform those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety and property of AIC, our participants or others.
How long we keep information
We keep form submissions and correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you, maintain reasonable records and meet legal requirements, after which we delete them.
Security
The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to submitted information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have shared with us by emailing info@aicharity.org. We will respond within a reasonable time. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Links to other sites
The Site links to services we do not control, including Givebutter, PayPal, Facebook, TikTok, Google Maps, Apple Maps and our online application form. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
